Please guys stop spreading mis-information. These are only the "needed" files for the "hardware unlock". The package in installer comes from i.unlock.no and can also be downloaded from geo's blog. See the sticky about the h/w unlock.

This truly is just a misinterpretation of the 1.1.2OTB Hardware unlock method introduced a few days ago.

In the original (now sticky) thread, someone stated that he packed the necessary files together in one (installable) package named "Bootloader Downgrade".

You can simply check by adding this repo to your installer and click the "More Information" button.

Trust me... Don't waste your time.
