i have a brand new (still in celo actually) 1.1.2 week 51 iphone. i want to jailbreak, but my itunes is currently 7.3.2 (too old to recognize iPhone IIRC). so, i'm stuck with upgrading to 7.6.

will this work? or do i need to try to find a copy of 7.5?

I had a similar question which nobody really answered too. I just wanna know if 7.6 is ok to use for J/B and stuff. Answer anyone? Thanks.

You can jailbreak with iTunes 7.6 with no problem just remember to update independence if you are a mac user! otherwise u wont be able to kig it out of recovery mode after downgrade to 1.1.1 (thats when u get error (15)
Ive unlocked,updated and downgrade a few iphone with no problem using itunes 7.6

I did it with the the newest version of iTunes. I just clicked "boot from recovery" before "jailbreak!" (1.1.2 jailbreak program)
