Exclamation [1.1.2 OTB] (PROBLEM) IPhone won't turn on..

I've H/W unlocked a few phone already but after doing testpoint on this one and getting ready to Restore to 1.1.1 the phone simply just shut off.

I tried pressing Power button, Home button, Power and Home button together for who knows how many seconds, even minutes, and NOTHING. I plugged it to computer with cradle and just the cable for a couple of hours, NOTHING. iTunes or IBrickr obviously won't recognize it since its shut down.

I figured, my iPhone is just dead, so before packaging it back up I said let me try soemthing else. I grabbed the wall outlet adapter and plugged it to the wall, Voila! it turns on, I can even go to Restore Mode, I figured GREAT it's just a low battery! I left it there overnight, a good 10 hours. Came back in morning saw that it was still on, disconnected from wall and it shut down and wouldn't turn on again, WTF! i thought. I tried the whole, power button home screen button BS for a good minute and nothing.

Bottom line, this phone just wont turn on unless I plug it to wall. Cant do restore, cause obviously it's not plugged to computer. What do you guys think? Bad battery? Anyone experience this?

    SOLUTION:

This means the power protection circuit tied to battery is no good.

    Go here: http://hackint0sh.org/forum/showthre...light=solution

It'll help you resolve this issue, worked for me. Don't fear soldering either, just go to Radio Shack and buy a soldering iron for $15, took me all but 5 min.

    hi.

i had a similar problem. after disasambling the phone for hw unlock i wanted to turn it on for running i*new - no response. disconnected the backcover connector, connected - no response.

i plugged the pc cable into the phone and vola - turned on.

after this hw was success, but 2 days later: no response to touch screen, can't turn it on/off with power button, no response to home button.
plugged it into pc -> turned on.

    no problems since then.

i suspect the power management being responisible in some way.
    or back cover..

try to take of your back cover again and unplug/plug it.

Looks like you either damaged the connector that is attached to the silver cover (which is responsible for the power button and others). Or you damaged the connectors from the battery (the black and red ones). You should re-open your phone and check those.

    Apple
    sucks.
    Microsoft rules.

    TurboSIM-like methods? No way.

    - Unlocked Week 47 1.1.3 iPhone, baseband 04.04.05_G.
    - Bought in Minneapolis, MN;
    - Currently on TIM carrier.

I'm not here to find help. I'm here to help others and give back what I've learned from Hackint0sh.

I'm probably guessing it's the battery connectors, because when I plug the phone to the wall and I press the button on the silver cover the phone it turns on. So I believe it's either bad battery or bad connection to the battery.

I put Iphone back together and it seriously looks like it's never been opened. Anyone know what's Apple's procedure on this if I take it to their store near here?

You think they might just change it, since it's not even a month old and doesn't look opened or scratched? that'll be nice

So i have the same problem as you. It all started when i took off the aluminum cover to do the test points. Turns out the black cable from the battery came undone, so now iam gonna have to solder it back on. Iam guessing when removing the aluminum cover, which had a crapppppp load of glue on it, it pulled on the black cable and poof, that lil piece of solder was done. Even though i tried to and make sure it wasnt getting pulled on, I guess it still happened. You think it will be hard to solder on the cable?
