    Red face

i had a similar problem today and i rechecked everything including my testpoint and i realised i had actually shorted the test point to ground with solder led on the pcb (mother board) of the phone when i was trying to connect the testpoint.
it wasn't that bad thank goodness!
i think yuou should look closely at your testpoint on the bord closely with a microscope or maginifying glass, use some flux and your soldering iron to rid the phone of excess lead on the test point!
it really did work for me m8
    good luck

funny thing is, sometimes, afeter spamming AT, i get:

    Attempting to read[1]...0
    Attempting to read[1]...0

    1) Files are correct, checked using MD5 and has all permissions.
    2) CommCenter was unloaded before running ienew
    3) ienew has failed as said above "Waiting for data"
    4) iunew most of the time says "Spamming AT, waiting for a response"
    and sometimes
    Attempting to read[1]...0
    Attempting to read[1]...0
    Attempting to read[2]...0

Firstly, you should try unloading commcenter with -w argument:
    launchctl unload -w /System/Library/L.../comm.apple.Com....plist

    Notice "-w".
