[1.1.2 OTB] [Problem] Can't Downgrade
hey guys
i just recently bought a new iphone from the apple store with 1.1.2 firmware and bootloader 4.6
i wanted to downgrade to 1.1.1 but i dont believe i can because i bought it brand new from the apple store and it has bootloader 4.6
i also ordered a STEALTHsim from ebay which will be arriving soon
idk what to do because if i can't downgrade and jailbreak my iphone to 1.1.1 i don't think i'll be able to use it!
i already tried jailbreaking and downgrading but it wouldn't work and it displayed that i had 1.1.2
please help

Your phone is fine for usage. You need to start at the top of the tutorial and work your way down.
http://www.iclarified.com/entry/index.php?enid=461
The tutorial is Specific for StealthSIMS also. This text in the tutorial " If you are not sure if you have the 4.6 bootloader then check the serial number of the iPhone. If the 4th and 5th digits are 45 or higher then you have the new bootloader and cannot unlock." That is referring a software solution for sim unlocking! Not stealthSIMs. StealthSIMs work. Remember to read the text at the end about iWorld etc...

downgrade through itunes. you'll get an error message, but then use independence to kick it out. you'll be at 1.1.1 and can jailbreak and activate
-
i followed that exact guide but i still can't seem to downgrade to 1.1.1
so i can jailbreak it
Can i jailbreak and downgrade new 1.1.1 firmware and 4.6 bootloader out of the
box?

whats the widows version for independence?

write each step down yourself. I find it can help. Dont deviate. Dont skip anything and take it nice and slow.

i did exactly what it says but after i downgrade in itunes to 1.1.1 and then
get out of recovery mode with iBrickr
and check the firmware on my iphone it still says i have 1.1.2
-
-
im also not sure if this has anything to do with it but when i look for the firmware
it says 04.02.13_G instead of 04.02.12_G which it says on the guide
-
What stage are at now? Do you have a functioning iPhone with or without Phone? DO you have your stealthSIM yet?

"04.02.13_g isnt your firmware.. its used to identify your firmware... according to that you have 1.1.2 and in order to hack your phone you are going to need a stealthsim"
