I was succesful following the HW unlock and got through test point and iunew. Then I made a small problem much worse, I was not able to Jailbreak 1.1.2 after doing the following:

1.iunew with test point completed
2. restored 1.1.2
3. restored to 1.1.1
4. Jailbroke
5. installed oktoprep
6. Updated to 1.1.2
7. Downloaded Jailbreak 1.1.2 to PC
8. Could not jailbreak, kept getting phone not connected errors.

I tried steps 2. 8 several times. Then I loaded BSD subsystems and open SSH while in 1.1.1 and installed oktoprep. It was recommended in a thread to solve the JB problem. I then tried to update to 1.1.2 and got an error.

Not I am stuck in recovery mode and can not get any version to restore, 1.0.2, 1.1.1 or 1.1.2.

Now what.

Comments and or assistance greatly appreciated.

UPDATE: I got it out of restore by rebooting my pc and starting the restore over again. I was able to restore to 1.1.2 but now I cant get 1.1.1 to restore. I get error 1015.

a bit more detail .. where are you ... do you have the itunes symbol? are you lauching to an activation screen in a certian firmware version? have you tried a different pc? have you tried going in to dfu mode?

after rebooting my PC i got 1.1.2 to restore. now I am trying to 1.1.1 so that I can get this jailbreak done and that does not want to restore. I dont know whats up all of a sudden. Going to reboot PC again. Assuming I get past this I still had problems with Jailbreak 1.1.2.

I am sure I got the iunew process correct, but I have tried like a million times to restore 1.1.2 ,restore 1.1.1 oktoprep, update and jailbreak, but it always does not connect running JB 1.1.2.

I even tried JB 1.1.2 on another PC and got the same problem. I am did a HW unlock with my original 1.0.1 and it was easier.


I just dont get it.
