Hi experts,

I just bought an IPhone 1.1.2 OTB and last night I tried to unlock the phone using TurboSim Solution which is posted in one of hackint0sh.org forums. I have already downloaded AppSnapp from Jailbreakme.com and now I am up to the step where "Slide to Unlock" appears; however there's no Installer Icon in the Home screen and i cant proceed to the next steps- UPGRADE TO 1.1.2!

Why does this occur? Can anyone please help suggest a solution?

Are you sure the appsnap procedure/installation went fine ?

Have you tried to restart the phone ?

There is no reason for installer to not appear if it is properly installed.

I have tried restarting the phone but the same thing happened - no Installer icon.

Well i believe to have downloaded AppSnapp correctly because it's no longer "Slide for Emergency", but instead "Slide for Unlock".

Could this have something to do with the iBrick installation?

hey guys, i have a similar problem. i have my 1.1.2 OOTB activated and jailbreaked and updated again to fw 1.1.2. my problem is now, that on my springboard i have no installer icon anymore. any ideas? thx

Probably you installed several programs with the installer so that your home screen is full. Put your finger on the home screen and push it left so that on the right side more icons appear.

Thanks Risky for your reply, this was not the case. my iphone is just fresh jailbreaked and the installer was missing. i did not yet install any apps except ssh.
but i found the tutorial here to get the installer back:

so appsnap worked but only installer is missing ?.
how did you get ssh installed on the phone or is it part of appsnap? because link you provided work only if ssh is running.
