Default [1.1.2 OTB] neither Windows or iTunes recognize it

Iīm totally stuck here as canīt do anything to this iphone, not even activate trough ATT as itunes canīt find the phone.
I have put it in restore (icon) mode and is the same itunes donīt see it.
Tried diferent cables with or without docking station.

Should I take it back to Apple?
    Or something can be done?

I restart computer and change USB ports but no program recognizes it.

Another strange thing is that the iPhone doesnīt produce the usual sounds while conecting & disconecting and the charge icon on screen doesnīt show charging.

I believe is a faulty main conector, as I just tried with other puter and just the same.

Other iPhones are inmediatly recognized in iTunes at this computer.

Only bad thing is that the nearest Apple Store is 1,200 Miles distant.

Strange but yesterday I saw another iPhone with the same problem, only this time it was an 1.1.1 version.
Owner said the phone felt to ground but also he downloaded trough installer some apps from experimental sources.
Tried every posible metod but no way to read it.
It didnīt charge battery either but then i tried a traveler charger for ipod and it charge the battery!

Now i donīt know if the fault is software related : corrupt archive system or a hardware malfunction in the main conector.

    Question Try DFU ?

Now i donīt know if the fault is software related : corrupt archive system or a hardware malfunction in the main conector. [/QUOTE]

If it is corrupt archive system you shold try put manually your iPhone in DFU mode (there is some thread how EXACTLY do it, timing is most important), and than try to connect via USB cable with the PC, if you got familiar sounds and notification, along with "installing device driver..." you are on the good track, iTunes should detetct iPhone in recovery mode and you can RESTORE (my advice is to 1.1.3), and than use ZiPhone for the rest ....

    Manual Instructions:

Connect the phone to the computer and press and hold the Power button (on top) and the Home button (on bottom front) simultaneously.
After about 15 seconds phone will appear to turn off, release the Power button but keep holding the Home button.
After about 15 seconds the computer and iTunes will detect the phone in recovery mode (NO ICON of iTunes and Cable should be present, just BLACK SCREEN)

DFU File download (replace $ with s):

    www.send$pace.com/file/93fx93
    Extract DFU folder to C:/
Go to the start menu and click Run, and type the following:
    c:/dfu/dfu iBSS.m68ap.RELEASE.dfu
Now hit OK, this will force your iphone into DFU mode. Now it should have a white screen

    Hope this will help ...
