[1.1.2 OTB] at least it's a preety paperweight...brick...doorstop *SOLVED*
I have an iphone that went belly up and need some repairs.
It came in the mail as 1.1.2 w/4_13 modem firmware. Week 43.
I downgraded to 1.1.1 and did the jailbreak. no probs.
I kept reading everywhere that given teh modem firm listed in the about page i should downgrafe the base band.
i did that thru installer. no probs. still received sms and all that jazz.
did the anysim deal...... the install crashed half way thru the update and since,
there's no imei, iccid, wifi, bt, phone. on top of that there's a message calling for repair.
i tried various "virginizing" , restoring threads.
i keep getting stuck at the last stage: Failed to download .FLS: Could not verify downloaded image.
the question is: keep it as a paperweight? or does someone want to play with it?
update *did this and it say that wifi is present now, but that's about it. gives a posix 12 error when going on safari.

it is fixed!!!!!!!!!!!
so a little tooling around got my brick alive and operational.
followed every tutorial like before, except:
ieraser is the last step.
run it so it cleans up any leftovers from the old baseband
run over to google and grab itunes 7.5 <-mui importante!
download 1.1.1 from hackthatphone or wherever you can
put the phone in DUF (power and home button until it reboots and itunes recognizes the recovery mode)
choose recover while pressing the shift key
flash 1.1.1
and then follow the standard tutorial
hope this helps someone. i spent 16 hours straight in front of the screen to figure out how to revive it.....
cheers
