    Default [1.1.2 OTB] Jailbroken 1.1.3 using Soft Upgrade > Error 1604

    HELP ME PLEASE... I can make it worth your while!

    I Had a 1.1.2 OOB US iPhone and jailbroke it so I could use next sim.. I then tried to upgrade to 1.1.3 using a file in installer.app called 1.1.3 SoftUpgrade but the file stopped halfway and my phone would not turn on, the apple sign kept on popping on and off..

    I finally DFU restored it to 1.1.1 but keep getting error 1604 and I can not use independence because it says "error registering callbacks from iPhone"

    Please help me! I have helped out many members on this forum and would like a little help.

    I think your restore of 1.1.1 was not complete. Run a restore to 1.1.2 as it might be a more potent firmware. Make sure to restore in DFU and always for maximum effect, reboot and restore TWO times.

    see: http://docs.info.apple.com/article.html?artnum=307007

    If all that doesn't (incl. reinstallling itunes) help just borrow a friend's PC and see if itunes will restore.

    Had the same issue, although a few painful hours later I managed to get it back to working state. Some tips that helped me out;

    Restart your PC/Mac, Restore to 1.1.2, change usb ports as stated, if all else fails you can download a new copy of Itunes and try to restore from there.. as that was recommended by apple when that error code appears *According to another site, which link I have forgotten*

    Best of luck
