also login635, login into putty and type in
cd /var/root/Media/
ls
if one of the things listed is "disk"
then OKtoPrep worked and you can UPGRADE!

Hi all, Thanks to everyone for their advice and especially _Gabe_ I got past the Jailbreak1.1.2 step and right to the end without a hitch running the commands!!
The only problem is now, the option to set "Apple Saft" was not available and now my phone says "Incorrect SIM, This iPhone must be used with an approved SIM."
Going to keep trying the last few steps and see if the option can be selected, although I cant get to the # prompt after it says "modem initiated".

Considering you've run through the commands a few times, you haven't loaded the applesaft software more than once have you? That can cause glitches where it doesn't show up for whatever reason..
** Warning: Don't do this if you bought the TurboSim Preloaded.. it'll wipe it **
You could try putting your at&t sim in by itself, enabling pin (default pin is 1111), pop in the turbosim with the at&t sim, when it asks for sim code, enter your 8 digit TPIN, it should still say 3 tries left.. turn it off, at&t sim in, disable pin, then at&t sim & turbosim in and you can do all the stuff you need to to reload Applesaft onto the now BLANK Turbosim.
(There is a software command, turbo-reset, as well - but it's hit and miss.)

Just tried #turbo-reset, but it didnt fix it. I dont want to start again from scratch incase this can be solved fairly easily by someone that has had the same problem.
Will wait a while and see if anyone can suggest anything... Im so close, but so far using my new phone!

how about restoring in 112 what steps are to be followed cause in 111 you just shift restore and just jailbreak and your good. can anyone conferm its the same in 112.

Hardware resetting the turbosim and reloading applesaft *is* the simple way.

So if my TurboSIM came pre-loaded (im guessing it did), what steps would you follow to hardware reset the TurboSIM and re-load Applesaft?
I tried running the commands again, but the option still wasn't there under phone settings.
TIA.

to iMaso, see atleast you got more values than another guy would.... they woulda kept the conflict up
to login365, how did you have it unlocked before??
to all with 112 oktoprep problem, sometimes if you have itunes running it will say that oktoprep was not ran but if you kill itunes itll work..... but then other times the symlink was not made...... look into that to stray from un needed restores
