    Default [1.1.2 OTB] jailbreak & unlock question

    I just got my week 45 (i assume 1.1.2 OTB)
    Im gonna jailbreak 1.1.2 OTB -> 1.1.1 to JB -> 1.1.2JB
    Is there any advantage in gong to 1.1.3 if i dont have to ?
    What are the disadvantages ? Will I have 'conflicting basebands' ?

    and if i did want to do a 1.1.3 upgrade after the 1.1.2jb and unlock would i do it via iTunes? Do i lose anything if i do this?

    cheers people, appreaciated

    First, I don't recommend upgrading to 1.1.3. Yes, you will get those wiggle icons, but it ain't worth it. You may have problems with iTunes, EDGE, mail, SSH, and some Installer.app issues. Perhaps even more, I don't know...

    But in case you want it so bad, the way to do it is by that "soft-upgrade" called "1.1.3 Official Upgrader". You will find it in Installer. Do not update with iTunes.

    And about the "conflicting basebands" the only problem you'll encounter is Locate Me feature in Maps.app

    thank you for your reply element
    i think ill stay with 1.1.2 for now

    sorry for a follow up question....

    if i go 1.1.2 to 1.1.1 to jailbreak, then ipsw to 1.1.2,
    then
    iClarified unlock app...
    what do i lose in terms of functionality?

    lastly, do i do the jb and unlock with a sim in the iPhone (i have a non activated o2 and contract vodafone sim i can use)

    thanks again

    You will not loose any funcionality. And often described, the SIM is not important, but better you leave one inside while doing all the preparation
