My h/w unlock did not go by the book. Got the TESTPOINT WORKS 55 message but it stopped after "press and char" message.

Now i have a 1.1.1 (1.1.2 OTB) iPhone and I have no way to verify if it's safe to move onto the next step and restore to 1.1.2. Question;

1) bbupdater -v fails to ping the BB. Correct behaviour?

2) if i restore to 1.1.2 then i'll loose the VT-term, etc and without a BB or BL then i'm stuck. Should I restore?

3) if i run iunew it stops are Spamming AT, waiting for response". What does this mean?

Any other suggestions?
