I have an iphone on 1.1.3.
It was upgraded to 1.1.3 using itunes from its original 1.1.2 OTB state.
The phone worked fine previously with a *sim.
Owner tried to jailbreak it but couldn't do it. Whe I got the phone it was on 1.1.3 with this error on screen "No SIM card installed" Insert an unlocked and valid SIM card to activate.

I've downgraded to 1.1.1 and tried to jailbreak it. I was getting the same error on screen and can't dial *#307# I get an "Error performing request/ SimNot Inserted"

I 'm wondering if this is a problem because of the 1.1.3 baseband firmware or there is something wrong with the pins reading the sim card.I got an AT&T simcard that came with a 1.1.1 OTB phone!

On iclarified I couldn't see any reference to this error, so I tend to believe its a hardware problem on the sim card reader. Can anyone validate if this is so?
Since it doesn't read the sim card i cant upgrade it back to 1.1.3 with itunes.
If I go to DFU mode and restore 1.1.3 how do i kick out of DFU a 1.1.3 phone.Ibrickr would work?Is there a reason I should upgrade to 1.1.3?
The downgrade to 1.1.1 was ok(the regular 1015 error)
