[1.1.2 OTB} Help! Can't configure Outlook sync?
Hey, I have a 1.1.2 OTB that was jailbroken (no *sim unlock yet). I've been using it as an expensive iPod touch, and would like to get the calendar function to sync to my Outlook. When I go to my iPhone under Devices, and then Info, I get stuck. To "Sync contacts with:", Outlook does not show up. Same with Calendars. Is this a result of unlocking/jailbreak the iPhone? I couldn't find a solution on Apples Discussions either =/.
To note, I am using Outlook 2007.

First, you have to make sure that you are really using Outlook and not Outlook Express.
Then you set Outlook as your standard client for e-mail.
The following pictures is with the swedish version, but you should be able to get the idea.

Go to settings or alternatives in the tool menue, and you should get something like this:

In the last page with options, there should be an option to use Outlook as standard client, check it an press ok.
Make sure that your e-mail information is entered correct, if your e-mail account isn't able to sync, nothing will work... not even contacts.
Boot up itunes, connect your phone and go to the info page, it should look like this:

check the box to sync contacts with outlook
And then check this little bugger at the end.

When you press sync, all contacts that you have entered into outlook will be synced to the iphone.
It is an extremely good idea to make sure that your contacts are in order and neat, you dont want 300 spam senders added to the iPhone.
Once you've got the hang of it, everything works suprisingly smooth.
Contacts added to the phone syncs over to outlook and vice versa at every sync.

Thanks for the guide, but it still doesn't work. Those settings were already set as you mentioned, but it still doesn't show up. What's wierd is under the "sync bookmarks" with a certain browser, it doesn't have any options for either Firefox or IE7. Instead, it also shows up blank. This must be a widespread problem with iTunes if others are having the same trouble. Any other ideas out there?
