    Ok guys, now to explain once and for all HOW to downgrade from ANY version to 1.0.2. YOU HAVE TO ENTER DFU MODE! Here is how: press both buttons (on/off + home) for 10secs then RELEASE on/off after 10 secs (screen is blank) until itunes says that iphone is in recovery mode. The screen will still be blank! (no pic or message), now you can shift + restore to any fw you like. OFC as george said, the baseband stays the same.

    i did that, but when restoring in Itunes, it is stuck on "waiting for iphone"
    I left it for 1 hour and it still said that.
    Is there a specific Itunes version you have to use?
    void unlock(int& Iphone)
    char FRUSTRATION(true);
    do
    {
    Unlock(Iphone);
    }while (FRUSTRATION=='true');

    I'm using 7.3.2.6 and 7.4.3.1. If the phone is stuck in "restore" mode, use ibrickr or apptap to boot in normal mode.

    using 7.4.3.1 itunes

    and yes I know how to enter DFU mode before trying a restore.

    Both Apptapp and ibrickr do not work at jailbreaking the phone. It seems to be a partial jailbreak as the program then recognizes the phone as jailbroken but the iphone control screen does not allow you to get to springboard which makes uploading programs useless at this point unless there is another program other then Putty which uses the USB cable to help activate the programs uploaded to the iphone???

    The problem is not ibrickr, but the repository. It's not working. Download the PXL files manually and use ibrickr to install them. Here is where you can choose Save as... LINK.

    Well i had some problems with itunes too. The problem is with the local settings of an account - think itunes has some problems with that and produces strange errors. Try making a new account and making a restore with that account.

    George (and others),

    I have restored the phone to 1.02. Obviosuly iTunes failes when it tries to write the firmware (error 1002).

    Loaded AppTapp 0.92, selected 1.0.2, AppTapp proceeded to install files to iPhone and reboot it several times.

    AppTapp reports sucess and closes, however iPhone remains on world screen with 'Activate iPhone', and 'Repair Needed' box. Slide for emergency brings up keypad, numbers are slow to respond and *#307# CALL failes to do anything at all.

    Can install PXL and Mobile Terminal via iBrickr but with no way to access the terminal software there is no way to proceed with downgrade.

    Any ideas ?

    }while (FRUSTRATION=='true');
