[1.1.2 OTB] Hard unlocked > want to upgrade/softunlock to 1.1.4

I started with a 1.1.2 OTB phone that I bought and unlocked in late February. I used the hardware unlock method posted on iphone.unlock.no of the time, which had me open the phone to connect the test points, and downgrade my bootloader and baseband firmwares, as well as my main firmware to 1.1.1.

I now see ZiPhone at http://www.ziphone.org/ and would like to update to 1.1.4. Is it safe to do it and what options should I set in ZiPhone considering where my phone is coming from.

Hi,

I've been in almost the same situation as you. 1.1.2 OTB, HW unlocked, ...... oktoprep... -> unlocked, activated 1.1.2

Now I'm on 1.1.4 without no troubles. Everything works perfectly (only some 3rd party apps have problems with FW>=1.1.3). For this upgrade I've used http://hackint0sh.org/forum/showthread.php?t=32081 guide and everything worked smoothly

hi,

there is no problem to update to 1.1.4.
for unlock/jailbreak/activation use ziphone or iplus.

i think u must allow to see your status over the web.

i also had a 1.1.2 OTB and used the hardware unlock method and had it working fine. then i upgraded to 1.1.3 using the dev team's soft upgrade method, and just recently upgraded to 1.1.4 using iplus 2.0b and have a perfectly working phone on t-mobile with the t-zones $5.99 plan.
