Talking [1.1.2 OTB] Finally done with HW unlock - i think

after 3 days i think that the hw unlock is done. i have confess that it was really hard. here is my status retrieved using Baseband Information app:
    - in contacts i have my sim phone number
    - Bootloader Version: 3.9_M3S2
    - Modem Firmware: 04.02.13_G
    - EEPROM Version: 208
    - EEPROM Revision: 1
    - correct IMEI, ICCID, SMS Center number

    but i have 3 questions:
1- Can i now close the rear panel and antenna cover. You know it is really hard to open so if i prefer to check everything and if all of them were correct then close them.
2- During the process of the anySim 1.1.2u i put my SIM (that is not AT&T but the IR-TCI). Is it correct or I shouldn't changed the sim?
3- I have no signal. I moved phone every where but i can not get any signals.

    I will appreciate your answers.
    Thanks in advance

    1. I think so, yes
    2. Did you restore to 1.1.1 and unlocked it? 1.1.2u anysim is for fw 1.1.2
    3. Reboot the phone.

cause during the hw unlock i've got unknown IMEI ,... errors. first i restored it to 1.0.2 and after solving the unknown IMEI problem i've retored it back to 1.1.2 -> 1.1.1 jailbreak and activated using jailbreakme.com -> oktoprep -> retore to 1.1.2 -> jailbreak using the java program -> anysim 1.1.2u.

and rebooted 100 times, still no service.

it's been a long time since I did it but it sounds like you haven't patched the lockdown file. Not sure if any of the jailbreaking utils does it automatically but you might want to check that.

Does anyone know what will happen if accidentally during the testpoint cut the a17 wire? is it possible that it causes the no service problem? although mine seems to be OK and uncutted but i'm not sure.

If I have this correctly, it's a file that needs to be patched to allow other sims to be used. It should be done after you do the unlocking process. Have a look at the end of this tutorial http://www.iclarified.com/entry/index.php?enid=376

and try to do those steps.

    Thanks wlp5
i've used the http://www.hackthatphone.com/112/iph...ock_112_1.html tutorial except independence part cause i'm using windows so i've used vt100 instead. This tutorial runs the anySim 1.1.2u after the update to 1.1.2 but in the iclarified tutorial it uses it in the 1.1.1. I don't know which one is better. anyways i think that you are right and i have to use the lockdown path but is the patch in the iclarified tutorial good or i have to search for a new one?

btw do i have to run anysim 1.1.2u any times that i restore the different firmwares? i mean if i have to restore to 1.1.1 and then update it to 1.1.2 do i have to run anysim 1.1.2u?

I think that patch should be good for you, in any case, it won't hurt anything a restore couldn't fix. Try it out first.

I don't think you have to run anysim again as the baseband will not be altered if you restore to 1.1.1, the lockdown file though will certainly need to be repatched.

Again, it sounds like you did the unlock correctly since you don't get a "wrong sim" message, it's only the lockdown that's left to do.
