Default [1.1.2 OTB] - Error after using car stereo adapter

Unlocked OOB 1.1.2 - Error after using car stereo adapter.

    --------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Recently bought a OOB 1.1.2 iPhone and got it unlocked with a guy. It was working fine until I tried charging with a Belkin Car Stereo Adapter. I started seeing No Service and after less than 4 hours, it stopped working. Using iTunes, I did restore to factory defaults and that is when I saw these errors.

    Display on my iPhone:
    Incorrect SIM
Insert an unlocked and valid SIM to activate iPhone

    Display on my iTunes:
There is a problem wiht your iPhone.
We're sorry, the iPhone you connected may be damaged and cannot be activated for service. We recommend you visit your nearest Apple Store for more information...."

Can anyone please please help me?

    Thanks,
    Rahul

I found out afterwards most of the insides were pretty much toast.

I hope the same didn't happen to you.

What you can do is, restore everything to normal

Take it to the apple store. tell them youre an att customer and you were charging it or something.

Then you turned it on and this is what it shows. Dont tell them you jailbroke it to install programs, etc

That will void your warranty. It's worth a shot

Thanks for your reply. I tried that by restoring to factory defaults and took it to Apple store where the guy said the IMEI number does not match and the phone has been unlocked. He said they cannot do anything and want me to get a new phone !!!!

I do not know what to do?

I'm not an expert, so if anyone can help him out with a way to get his IMEI back to his phone everything should be fine. Once you got your IMEI all set up, go to ANOTHER Apple store and they should receive it with open arms.
