Totally agree. It's hard to post real help to people when there's always somenone flaming them.
Many levels of knowledge exists. We have to learn to respect people from all levels.
By the way, I'm not a kid, I do not live in a basement, but I do LOVE Victoria Secret's Angels...If you don't like them...man, you just got yourself a real fight with me. Just kidding.
Cheer up guys. Lets make this thing grow with useful stuff. Real knowledge and real help to people in need. That's what a community stands for. Sorry about my english.

For all of those keeping score, I bought a Stealthsim a few weeks back for my U.S OTB 1.1.2 and it works perfectly. It's a good solution to an old problem. Will it survive the update? Who knows, but I will be able to use it as an iPhone and not a iPhod (that's an iPod Touch with a 2 megapixel Camera and inoperable ear piece) until it's safe to update. Besides, when 1.1.3 or 1.2.0 comes out, it could take weeks to figure out the jail brake method even if they figure out the unlock for 1.1.2, in either case my phone still works the exact way it does now...in essence I lose nothing. And even if they unlock 1.1.2 that doesn't mean they will have an unlock for 1.1.3 for some time, and there is a 90% probability that the Stealthsim will work on 1.1.3 since Apple is concentrating on software unlocks and not hardware unlocks.

    What it breaks down to:

-If 1.1.3 or 1.2.0 comes out next week, it could be weeks before we see a stable unlock that doesn't brick phones (and there will be several bricks). It would refrain from use until it's known to work flawlessly.
-If it doesn't come out for a few more weeks, then the end of January is our time frame.
-And of course 1.1.3 will have all of the things we want to use on our iPhones and we'll be tempted to upgrade, but we'll be sitting here waiting for another solution from the mystical dev team to help us along our way.
-So, pay for a stealthsim and use it for a month or possibly a lot more if it's the only way to unlock 1.1.3, or wait for a software unlock that may brick your phone? Keep this in mind...you can still use your stealthsim on 1.1.2 forever, but there is still no guarantee that 1.1.3 will produce a software unlock for 1.1.2. :0

I have no doubt that there will be a jail brake method for 1.1.3 when it comes out, but without a secpack, we may never see an unlock for 1.1.2....it hurts to say that.

I go for the safer of the two.

I fully agree with you on the purchase of the StealthSim or any other hardware Sim Solution. Waiting for something free either from the Dev team or "Chinese Santa" it's just crazy (imagine I got 4units OOB 1.12 at home now).

Simple maths; the iPhone cost US$399 + Sim Solution maybe another US$100. In total, it comes to US$499. Frustration looking at a US$399 iPod Touch everyday..."Priceless". You're right in a way, Apple comes again with new firmware, there goes the "abusing" forums again...

For those still holding the US$100 waiting for the Free solution, happy waiting, and once Steve Jobs release a new iPhone on Macworld next year, maybe 16GB or so...I dunno, what I know is you'll be first one crying.

We all have been fanatics about the iPhones, why? Is it relaly such a good phone in terms of function compare to a MS Mobile PDA? It's all about style and trendy outlook. Imagine when the 16Gb is available, and you're still on the 8GB becos you're waiting....

To summarised, for those put in some deep thought on this, go get yourself some Sim Solution.

Cheers, and have a great Christmas and New Year

    What a coincidence!
I talked to him today morning!
But i thought he was selling it a bit more expensive than it should be...
So im thinking of buying it on ebay, its gonna cost about 150 dollars with the shipping. Im just trying to find an internacional card, cause mine works only inside Brazils territory...
Im still in doubt if i should wait for a software unlock (and if it is gonna one day exist) or if i should buy stealthsim

Yah guys, Saint is right can't you just search google for answers. Damn it. I mean why are you asking questions on forums. You should already know the answer and if you don't your just dumb. I mean a post asking weather you should wait or buy stealthsim is just so dumb. I mean you should already know the all the pros and cons of both those decisons. Whats wrong with you asking questions like that.

I agree with Saint, we should just shut down this forum, cause all the information is on google. Or we already know all this information like Saint because we are all so freakin smart like him.

Guys just quit posting on the forum plz. Im gonna ask the mod to shut down the forum now. Good Luck finding info on google.
