Discuss [1.1.2 OTB] Bus Error iunew at the iPhone "2G" (Rev. 1) - Hackint0sh.org; Pleaseeeee Help!!!!!!!...
how i fixed the problem.
There was a problem in the NOR file downloaded from the i.unlock.no repository. This problem has now been fixed hower.
So i had to, using Ibrickr upload the following to user/bin folder in the iphone:
-upload nor (correct version)
I restarted terminal (this was all done using vt100 terminal in the iphone, luckily i installed it previously)
ienew (erased baseband)
NOTE: if you get a "bus error", make sure you are in the right folder in terminal. So try typing:
some code will scroll on the screen, when it was done typed:
Sleep 20; iunew
and follow the testpoint procedure
NOTE: if bbupdater gives you an error that it cannot ping baseband, as long as you wrote the RIGHT version NOR file, you should be ok, and just ignore the bbupdater error.
then i restored to 1.1.2, and DOWNgraded to 1.1.1 and now im following the unlock process as i would any other time
i don't know about the nor file, i've use the package fro "unlocking tools" from unlock.no.. all the unlocking parto was easy and i got all the rigth messages at the end of each procedure, at the end when you are supposed to restore to 1.1.2 itunes just wont let me, it restored to 1.1.1 tough, but now i'm with an unactived 1.1.1 phone without baseband.. what to do? pleaseeeeeee!!!!!
What it fixed for me:
Make sure that all the files are in the /usr/bin folder and
reload commCenter with
launchctl load /System/Library/LaunchDaemons/com.apple.CommCenter.plist
then unload with -w option
launchctl unload -w /System/Library/LaunchDaemons/com.apple.CommCenter.plist
I made the unlock tonight and ran into some problems. My phone would not leave the youtube app (got somehow on while testpointing). I restarted the phone and no problem loading the shell. After let's say 10 tries I was done with the testpoint.
Btw. Does anyone else have problems loading this page? I am waiting for minutes to see something showing up
