Default [1.1.2 OTB] Best long-term solution

I've been browsing through threads for a while now and usually, what everyone has else has posted is enough info for me to get by. Still waiting for the software unlock, but I've started thinking about what will happen down the road.

I haven't seen anyone else ask this when I searched, so forgive me if it's been said, but what is the best long-term solution for unlocking in general: software, or buying a *sim? I'm all for waiting for the software unlock, but I can justify spending more money on a *sim if I get to use my iPhone for more than a couple of months.

    Thanks.

Best long term solution is software.

And you can use you iphone as long as you want once you unlock it.

If apple puts aout a new FW version that dosn't mean you have tu update.

i still have friend runing on 1.0.2 just because the phones are working great and they see no reason to update.

So in my opinion the best, less ivansive, cheaper and fast long term solution is a software unlock.

This question has actually been asked a lot.
But anyway, I think a software solution is more comfortable, and more convenient. Then again, according to the experts, from now on, we will always be one step behind from Apple everytime we software-unlock our iPhones (in case a software unlock is launched).
With the ***Sims, the future is also uncertain as we don't know if Apple will come out with a fix to make them stop working, but at least we know they did their job with 1.1.2.
So it's a matter of circumstance. In my case, I'll always prefer Software Unlock as I don't like cheating my iPhone, I want to free it for real.
