    Default [1.1.2 OTB] 1.1.3 -> 1.1.4 - Does baseband matter?

    I have a 1.1.2OTB currently jailbroken and running 1.1.3. I'm on AT&T so I'm not concerned about unlocking. I'd like to install 1.1.4 and it seems that the most popular way to do that now is using iLiberty+. My understanding is that I put the phone in DFU, install 1.1.4 through iTunes, and then use iLiberty to jailbreak.

    However, despite my best attempts at searching, I can't find much information on how this affects the baseband. Do I need to be worried about what baseband I'm running or will iTunes and iLiberty take care of everything? What baseband am I left with after this process? Is it unlockable if I decide to do that in the future? Thanks for the help.

    if you are running 1.1.3 your baseband is 04.03.13_G.

    after you upgrade to 1.1.4 your baseband will be 04.04.05_G.

    Since you are AT&T customer, you don't need to unlock unless you wanted to.

    When you use iLiberty, you select jailbreak and select installer payload. click go for it. That's it.
    Do not select activate or youtube fix or anything else.

    When you plug your phone in now, you can use itunes to update to 1.1.4. You will loose the jailbreak but your phone should still be activated and usable because you are with AT&T.

    Thanks for the reply. How about the bootloader? How is that affected by the 1.1.4 upgrade and iLiberty? Is it a simple matter to unlock in the future if I change carriers?

    At this time, boot loader version does not matter because you can keep the same bootloader version and just neuter it using bootneuter.

    Prior to bootneuter, if you have 4.6 BL, you cannot unlock baseband unless it is downgraded to 3.9/3.9FB.

    It is a simple unlock if you change carrier in the future. Only use iLiberty+ or pwnage.
