    Default [1.1.2 OTB] 04.02.13_G firmware

    Morning All,

I just picked up an iPhone and have been trying to activate and jailbreak it.

Now this is my first go at it but I have tried a couple of different tutorials several times and I can't get it activated or jailbroken.

After several attempts I decided to see which firmware I had on it. I followed the posted instructions and when it displayed version it showed 04.02.13_G.

Is this 1.1.3? If so, have any of you that actually know what they are doing been able to activate it?

    Am I hooped (for now)?

    GFH

I have a 1.1.2 and it has 04.02.13_G. Mine is activated and jailbroken. Maybe you're doing something wrong.

Thanks, rather know, or think I'm doing something wrong. I'll give it another go in the morning.

Got panicky when I did a search for 04.02.13_G and nothing showed up...

    Cheers

hi, i was just curious about something and havent been able to find an answer for it, if i jailbrake my iphone (1.1.2), not unlock, would i have to sign up for a plan to use the phone, or would i be able to use an existing at&t sim card, like a pre paid card? Thanks

havent been able to find? or havent bothered looking? when you jailbreak your phone, you activate it, which bypasses the "signing up for a plan". you can then use an at&t sim card.

    04.02.13_G this is the bootloader/baseband

1.1.2 this is the OS version. 1.1.3 has not been released yet so in all likelyhood its 1.1.2. You can jail break and use all functions except for the phone. To get the phone going you will need a HW unlock ATM - look in the Turbosim section!

My prediction on delivery date for 1.1.3 was right on the money! - Jan 15th 8 pm CET - Who doubted me?

Thanks ashlong for clearing that up, i have been looking but just didnt get an answer clear enough, i read that it allows for 3rd party apps, but nothing really on wether it would work with an existing at&t sim, but thanks for clearing it up.
