I have a 1.1.2 activated through independence and now i am waiting on my next sim to arrive. I downgraded to 1.1.1 installed oktoprep and installed 1.1.2. I do not have cingular so i dont know if this is normal, but now i always get a no service message. I tried calling 911 and it rang once i didnt wait for them to pickup because itd be like prank calling. Is there another number i can use to test whether it works or not.

I also tried iWorld but that changes nothing

Did you do the HW unlocking?

no, i just did what i mentioned

Why would you expect to have any service on your 1.1.2 (OTB I am assuming) if you haven't unlocked it yet?

Id expect to be able to call att headquarters if i wanted customer service or something, im just not 100% sure if thats supposed to be possible or not.
