I've been running 1.1.1 for quite some time. Just followed the instructions in the below link and everything went fine until the very last step.

Step Ten:
Once the Done popup window appears reboot your device by holding the power button down for 3 seconds and moving the slider that appears to the right. Press the power button again to turn it back on

when I pressed the power button it just powered down. When I boot the phone it simply displays the iTunes logo with a arrow pointing upwards and the USB cable under that.

Itunes tells me its in recovery mode.

any ideas? Cheers guys.

I'm sure its something simply.

FYI: I'm using a MAC..
