So... since i got error (1) when trying to restore 1.0.2 i did a baseband downgrade, restored to 1.1.1, ran anysim 1.1. It said unlock successful, but i still have no service. Is it possible that i have cut the A17 trace? I still have wifi and bluetooth. wouldnt they be gone if i've cut it? I'm starting to feel really bad

My signal strength seems to come and go with no rhyme or reason. I'm wondering if I created a loose connection somewhere, or if the SIM card is not connecting all the time, or something similar. Will need to investigate further. Even if I get no signal strength, I get the correct network name and wifi never drops.

force downgrade to 1.0.2. press home and powerbutton for 10 sec and then release powerbutton and keep holding home button. After few sec itunes recognises in restore mode and then restore to 1.0.2.
Since ur wifi and bluetooth are working fine see again if you can downgrade only to 1.0.2 and see whats the response

hmm very strange, screen will be black when itunes detects in restore mode

-
this was the problem! it is finally restoring
But you guys too think that if wifi ant BT is totally okay, then it couldn't be that i've cut the A17 trace right? :S

hm, it stuck at "Waiting for iPhone..."
-
-
what is stuck?
, use ibrickr to reboot, jailbreak with apptapp and activate with pacay
-
iTunes says: preparing iphone for software restoration, then the apple logo on the iphone's screen appears with the round circleing thingy at the bottom, and iTunes says waiting for iphone, and nothing more... it hangs there
