Hi, i'm doing the activation/jailbreaking of my iphone and when i try to restore to 1.1.1 instead of the error 6 it gives me "unknown error 6 impossible to do the restore"!! What i've to do now?
I'm trying to update itunes(to 7.6 version and redownload the psw file of 1.1.1 firmware)..
Anyone has some ideas to let me procede?

You probably have a corrupted firmware. Try downloading again the firmware and try restoring again. I had this same problem on 2 iphones, I've downloaded the firmware again and it worked...

Sonny ,
I think u r releasing the buttons at a wrong time
just keep running the itunes in the back ground and then connect ur iphone in the dock or connect to usb port then hold the power and home keys together and then release the power key after powering off , a few seconds after it will automatically sense it in the recovery mode and then u can start restoring 1.1.1
another possible point is that after getting this error 6 u havent restarted ur computer.
Please restart your computer and the start itunes and the proceed
It should work
