    Default [1.1.2] Baseband downgrade issue

    Hello all

I have a pretty stupid problem. I was trying to install an app and "accidently" installed and ran "baseband downgrader" from i.unlock.no on my 1.1.2. My iPhone now does not have wi-fi IMEI etc..

What is the easiest way to fix this? I found this guide (http://www.hackint0sh.org/forum/showthread.php?t=24122) here and I'm not sure it applies to my, I would really appreciate any input on the matter

    Regards
    Johannes

um... assuming you use a 1.1.2 OTB, try doing a restore... (if you are using ****sim exploit cards, you might want to try reverse the effects )

Wikinerd : By which method do you mean I restore the phone?

hugot: I ran it from "installer". So it erased the baseband (I think) and tried to downgrade which of course is not possible on 1.1.2...

    Thanks.

Ran it from installer?? How did you do that... installer only INSTALLS aplications ...

In this case (baseband downgrader) it only copies files to the correct folders so then you can run the commands with the terminal.

If you ran ienew you just have to restore your 1.1.2 firmware

look at the end of the page: http://iphone.unlock.no/bootloader_downgrade.htm

Wikinerd: Okay, the downgrader doesnt even has access to the baseband on 1.1.2 right? So I should just install 1.1.1 again and wifi etc should be there again?

UPDATE: Okay I tried downgrading to 1.1.1 and also 1.1.2, still I don't have sound or wifi. so I can't jailbreak or activate it.

mcampa: I didnt actually solve it. I downgraded to 1.0.2 and I still dont have wi-fi IMEI etc, but I plan to do the HW-unlock so I really only needed the terminal etc.
