I have a question about that though. The first step you posted is for a 1.1.2 OOTB does that still work for 1.1.3 OOTB? and also, can't you just do the whole unlock process like this:

(downgrade your iphone to 1.1.1)

Step 2: http://www.iclarified.com/entry/index.php?enid=649
(unlock using geohot 1.1.2/1.1.3)

and if you want to upgrade back to 1.1.3,
Step 3: http://www.iclarified.com/entry/index.php?enid=611

One more thing, ive read that to get signal after unlocking the iphone, you have to upgrade it to 1.1.2? but using the process from iClarified above, doesn't that leave you with a 1.1.1? (if you don't do Step 3)?

This might be a noob question.. but i hope i can get an answer on it...

I have an ootb 1.1.2 if i unlock it this method does that mean i can use it with other carriers... or do i just jailbreak it and lose my phone functions(text etc)..

Cause one of the tuts says that you have to have a jailbreak 1.1.2 phone.. but another tut says if you jailbreak 1.1.2 ootb you lose all the phone functions..

So can someone please make this clear.

After Downgrade & activate & jailbreak the 1.1.3 OTB phone to 1.1.1 version:

Does it automatically upgrades the phone to 1.1.2 version ?

Or after step 1 do i need to upgrade to 1.1.2 & jailbreak and implement the step2(geohot) on 1.1.2 version??

If this a silly question sorry about it but i ma a little confused since the tutrial says:

"At this point if you can stay at 1.1.1 or you can install OktoPrep and update to 1.1.2 then update 1.1.3. Jailbreak 1.1.2"

I just did this and it works like a charm. My only question is after upgrading to 1.1.3, how do we upgrade out baseband to 04.03.13?
