1.1.2 -> 1.0.2 but locked, no wifi, help!
I was running 1.1.1 (unlocked) and wanted to update to 1.1.2. So I followed the instructions. I accidently ran anySIM1.2.1u while still in 1.1.2. At the time I didn't think it would do any harm. So I continued and downgraded to 1.1.1 then 1.0.2 and ran anySIM again. It wouldn't unlock. I got no signal!
So I thought I would try to update to 1.1.1 and do the jailbreakme.com. I didn't update correctly (didn't go through the 1.1.1 pre-update so I couldn't activate it). So I then downgraded back to 1.0.2.
So here I am at 1.0.2, no wifi and locked! I suspect the baseband was messed up in the process.
How do I fix it?

After some searching, I tried to intall iBrickr in VMware Fusion (I'm a mac user), in order to install BSD subsystem, terminal, etc. But iBrickr doesn't detect my iPhone. iTunes detects it fine though.

I encountered what you have been through; that is no wifi, no bb, no imei and no iccid after I ran anySIM 1.2 on my 1.1.1.
Here's the steps to recover.
1. Restore your phone to 1.1.2. This will fix the firmware.
2. Restore to 1.1.1. You will get a 1015 error at the end of restore. It's ok.
3. Restore again to 1.0.2 and this time you will get a 1013 error. It's ok.
4. By now your iPhone will be in the Dfu mode. (yellow triangle).
5. Use independence to activate it.
6. Install bsd and openssh.
7. Copy anySIM 1.2.1u with 0755 permission.
8. Set to never lock and run anySIM.
9. Your bb is now unlocked.
10. Upgrade to 1.1.1 and install oktoprep. Do not install openssh.
11. Upgrade to 1.1.2. At the end you will see the iTunes and connector screen with slide to open...
12. Run jailbreak.
13. Patch lockdownd if you are using older jailbreak 1.2.
You should be able to find more of the jailbreaking of 1.1.2 in this forum.

I can't seem to restore to 1.1.2. When I try, I get the following message at completion:
The iPhone "iPhone" could not be restored. An unknown error occurred (1603).
I'm using 7.4.2 in Leopard.
Edit: All I see on the screen when I start the phone, is a yellow triangle, and the words, Please Connect to iTunes.
