I have a used Iphone with 1.1.1 firm.
It has modem 04.01.13_G
It's week 39

I am not sure if it came out of box with 1.0.x and then was updated to 1.1.1 or came out of box ready with 1.1.1 (the seller couldn't tell me).

I am sure he used this Iphone with a regular AT&T sim so the phone came to me ACTIVATED with everything working, except phone functions, of course.

I used the iphone for a couple of weeks but today I decided to unlock it in 1.1.1 so to be able to use all phone functions.

I used this method: http://iphone.unlock.no/

I inserted and kept in the Iphone my personal italian sim.
I skipped the first step because wifi already worked, of course.
I had already installed installer.app
I installed ANYSIM -----> OK
It strangely came out an "ACTIVATE IPHONE"screen.....I turned off then on my iphone and I found it perfectly usable (no more activate screen)
I run ANYSIM -------> It went through the whole process......at the end it said SUCCESSFULL your iphone is now unlocked and can be used with any sim

Then immediately another window came on the screen saying: "different sim detected, please connect to Itunes" .......but when I click the DISMISS button, I get back to the normal Iphone homescreen (is it called splashscreen???) with all buttons and all services working.....all but phone functions....No signal at all....!
(No imei 0049 problem...)

So I went through the whole process....but it seems like i did nothing.....I am still at the beginning......

WHat has happened? What did I do wrong?
and.....most of all...what should I do now?

I did something of course.......the whole process done by anysim was done.....I could read all steps while anysim was doing its stuff......so I don't want to run the risk of messing up my iphone......

you used the wrong version of anySIM, i.e. the 1.1 version (on i.unlock.no) for 1.1.1 iPhones and 03.xxxxbasebands )
you have to :

1. upgrade in iTunes to 1.1.2 so you have the 04.02.13_G baseband
2. go back to 1.1.1 in iTunes (DFU mode, restore 1.1.1, kick out of DFU mode using iNdependence or iPhuc)
3. activate/jailbreak under 1.1.1 (*#307# etc) , get tools installed in installer from rep.frenchiphone.com (they have the anySIM1.2.1 from dev Elite team) and i.unlock.no
4. run anySIM 1.2.1 (Frenchiphone.com)
5. run Oktoprep (tweaks 1.1.1)
6. upgrade to 1.1.2 in iTunes (not restore, that removes the Oktoprep install needed to jailbreak/activate under 1.1.2 later)
7. jailbreak/activate 1.1.2
8. run iWorld from the installer & REBOOT

easy, no problem doing this, gives you a perfect unlocked & working 1.1.2 iPhone

I just wanted to have my 1.1.1 Iphone unlocked

What you write is correct but I am still a bit frightened by doing that....
while I wait for PC guide, I want to use it with my 1.1.1 firmware.....

That's why I used this method: http://iphone.unlock.no/ which is for 1.1.1 Iphones

so for now I need a solution for this, if you or any other can help.....
