1.1.1 Unlocked - Restored do I need to Virginize before Unlocking again?
First of all I HAVE searched the forums for this but got lost in so many different suggestions.
here's my problem and I need help before screwing up the phone.
I have an OTB 1.1.1 Phone that was successfully unlocked using AnySim...however, I had issues with the touch screen so I did a restore to 1.1.1 again.
NOW, I want to unlock it again via AnySim 1.1 do I need to VIRGINIZE it before I run the AnySim APP? or can I just go ahead without the virginizing...eventually I would also like to update to 1.1.2 so I'm not sure if I just update first to 1.1.2 then Unlock it.
Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks

As far as i know, anysim will nor re-lock your iphone by restoring it, but i also would like to know about going to 112; if it needs to be virginized...

You can restore (choose Shift + restore) then choose file 1.1.1
jailbreak with *#306# method.
then install anysim 1.1 to unlock. (if this step failed to unlock like mine)
Then i do Shift + restore again. 1.1.1
Jailbreak with *#306#
Install Verginize package and run that
Shift + Restore 1.1.1 again (this is important)
Jailbreak again as above
install anysim 1.1
done if you want to stay at 1.1.1
run optoprep from installer if you want to get to 1.1.2
Shift + UPDATE to 1.1.2 file
jailbreak with window.bat (for pc) don't check install ssh- u can install it later otherwise u will have a big SSH icon and more compliated to get off that icon
install anysim 1.1.2u
put in PlaneMode
Unlock with anysim 1.1.2u
Done.
This is just quick highlight steps for you. all this is from here somewhere that i have gone thru to get my phone back to 1.1.2 after softupdate to 1.1.3

OK Great! NOW...should I Use the Virginizer in 1.1.1 Unlocking tools directly or should I first use the Downgrade Baseband , then Virginizer?
Thanks, waiting for your reply!

I don't know what's the deal is but everyone is "thinking" or "wanting" to virginize the baseband. STOP.
You use the virginize script only when you have issues such as invalid IMEI OR you have an old 1.0.2 phone that was unlocked using iUnlock, unlock-fast.
Stay away from the virginize stuff unless you KNOW you need it.
In your case:
- After you have restore 1.1.1 and jailbreak it. Your phone should be working as before because the baseband WAS unlocked before (no need to run anySIM 1.1 again)
- install oktoprep and run it
- Use Itunes and SHIFT click update, select 1.1.2 firmware image that you have downloaded.
- let it do it stuff, when done, your phone will at the activation screen.
- now run jailbreak1.1.2 (make sure you have java install on the computer)
- when done, your phone is jailbroken and activate. Phone should not work because baseband have changed.
- run/update installer. download bsd + comm. sources + anySIM 1.2.1u (put phone in airplane mode before running anySIM 1.2.1u)
- when done. baseband unlocked.
make sure autolock set to never so you don't panic when screen goes dark.

Dtube...
After jailbreaking and installing the T-mobile Simmm the phone did not get the carrier signal. Should I re-run anysim again?
Thanks again

i think anysim requires you to put your Tmobile in before unlock.
should say something like that when first click on anysim.
after unlock, then restart iphone, u will see signal
dtube, dont' know why but when i unlock with anysim after restore to 1.1.1
it failed. saying can't unlock close to the end.
after a lot of reading and searching, i follow one guide saying revirginze and shift restore 1.1.1 second time
then after jailbreakme it unlock with anysim 1.1.1 success.

I say no.
First, we have to understand what are we looking at here. If the baseband is locked, you will get the invalid SIM message right away.
Obviously, you did not get that. Are you in an area that has good reception?. go to settings, about. Do you have a valid IMEI number? (it should match the number in back of your phone).
After you put the tmobile sim in, just turn off and on the phone again. Just want to make sure it's registering correctly.

It says cannot unlock because "it is already unlocked".
because you re-virgin, you basically "undo" what you did (I believe oneSIM from Elite does this).
Like I said before: if your baseband version is the same, the unlock will stick with a restore or DFU restore.
