Unhappy [1.1.1 OTB][Problem] iPhone does not reboot after 1.1.1 jailbreak

I had a jailbroken 1.1.1 OTB that I tried updating yesterday to 1.1.2 using jailbreak tutorial at iphone.unlock.no .

I followed all the steps but my iPhone did not jailbreak. I tried downgrading the firmware to 1.1.1 but after implementing jailbreak the phone does not reboot itself.
    Here's what I did....
I had put the phone in DFU mode and restored the firmware. After that I used iBrickr to reboot the phone and it took me to "Activate iPhone" screen with "Incorrect SIM" message. I tried the call waiting method and in the end when safari crashed and I was taken to Activate Screen again, the phone went into sleep mode (even though I had auto-lock set to NEVER) and did not reboot.

    My modem firmware is 04.02.13_G.

    Please suggest.

    Thanks,
    Kanishk

Also, it takes less than a second to install apptapp (if it actually installs).

Should I hit home button to go back and redial?
Ir click on the green bar on the top to go back to the waiting call?
    or some other way?

Try to use the jailbreakme solution (http://jailbreakme.com) instead of i.unlock.no. I performed the 1.1.1 jailbreak yesterday and it worked like a charm. You may want to install oktoprep before upgrading to 1.1.2, since that unlike they say jailbreakme.com did not oktoprep my phone. And after having jailbroken 1.1.2 use Independence if you still get the connect to iTunes screen.

My phone is stuck at activate iphone screen and jailbreak apparently does not work.
I can't get beyond that point.

What do you mean by stuck? Doesn't the *#307# trick work?

*#307# work upto the point where safari crashes and takes you back to "Activate iPhone" screen. My phone is set to auto-lock - never and still it goes to sleep mode and does not reboot.
