    Default [1.1.1 OTB I think]Just upgraded to 1.1.4

OK Guys.Find this very weird. Can anybody explain this.

Phone had 1.1.1 on it when I received it 3 weeks ago.I put the original iphone sim in it that I received with my 1.1.2 OTB.
Restored to 1.1.1->Jailbreak->Oaktoprep->Upgrade to 1.1.2->Jailbreak.Checked it with my cingular sim.Phone,SMS,youtube, edge etc everything working.

Yesterday decided to restore it to 1.1.4 and unlock.

Today I put the iphone not activated sim in it and connected it to PC,hit restore. Itunes downloaded 1.1.4 from apple and restored it to 1.1.4.

After the restore,I have slide to "UNLOCK" instead of slide for emergency. And:

    WIFI working.
    Safari working.
    Youtube working.
    Mail working.
    Stocks working.
    Weather working.
    "GOOGLE LOCATOR" working.

    I have restarted 3 times.
Hard reboot the phone couple of times.
Everthing still works.Except the phone where I have no service.

I get a waiting for activation message every time I restart the phone which goes away. But I am not getting slide for emergency. Is this normal?
First ever Apple product I bought : iPhone.

you have to use the modified ziphone to> -a -j (activate and jailbreak) and once you do that with ziphone, add iclarified source to installer and then install BSD SUBSYSTEM. then just use "unlock 1.1.4" from iclarified section in installer. and your phone will work. enjoy

well if everything is working... why worry about it... just unlock it and you can use it...

if you are still unsure... just restore and follow one of the thousands tutorials out there

that is not the point. It should go back to factory settings after restore. Why is eveything working? It looks as if the phone is activated and no need for ziphone -a

umm...buddy, when i restored my phone it did the same as him. no "connect to itunes" or nothing. went straight to spring board. BUT installer wasnt there....phone was NOT ACTIVATED. NOR JAILBROKEN. i ran ziphone -a -j and then iclarified source to unlock. THIS IS WHAT HAS TO BE DONE.

let him try first before jumping to conclusions and telling ppl they are wrong. this is the exact thing i did on mine today and worked like a charm.

It was NON OOTB, right, and allready used, unlocked ....

Maybe unlocked with IPSF on the firstplace ? try to put signal.app (maybe you will have the GSM ...... but i'm not sure that signall.app works with original IPSF...)

Anyway, this is weird (at least), but, if you can unlock it, ad keep on working, thats it.

that's what I am trying to understand.Trying to find the reason. No hurry to unlock it as I have a working iPhone.I am trying to find the reason. And maybe somebody else can shed some light on it.Hence the post.
