    Default [1.1.1 OTB] corrupted baseband

Hello everyone. I purchased an 1.1.1 OTB phone that somebody previously tried to unlock and bricked it. Now i get the REPAIR NEEDED screen and 1011 whenever i try to upgrade/downgrade the firmware.
    ive tried
    1.0.2 (1011)
    1.1.1(1011)
    1.1.2(1011)
    1.1.3(1011)

Tried jailbreaking at 1.0.2 using touchfree, it seemed to have no effect and hung during the installation step...

After each fw upgrade/downgrade i get the 1011 and the Itunes logo. When i boot the phone with Ibrikr , if i attempt to dial *#307# nothing happens, or the keypad will freeze and return to the REPAIR NEEDED screen. This is what leads me to believe the baseband is corrupt, since i cannot dial....i hope thats correct?

Most of the threads ive read about revirginizing the phone assume that the phone is jailbroken to install the Virginizer package downloaded to the installer from i.unlock.
SO, since i cannot seem to be able to jailbreak the thing, is there any other way to virginize this phone? I cant seem to figure out a way.

    thoughts?

This might do the trick to your solution make sure you are in firmware 1.1.1 when you do this!!!!!! Find and download ZiPhone 2.3 and extract the files and open up the GUI app inside. Then put your phone in restore mode by unplugging iphone from computer then hold down power button and slide to power down, then hold home button and plug it back in while home button is held. Itunes will open saying iphone is in restore mode, close Itunes and in the ZiPhone GUI check ierase BL 3.9 baseband. After that is done it will boot back up in 1.1.1 with no baseband at all completely erased then put phone in DFU mode and restore to 1.1.3 that should WORK Hopefully it did for me!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Hi, try using ziphone -e. That will remove your BB, after that put the phone in DFU mode and try restoring in 1.1.2 or 1.1.3 and you'll get your BB back

hmm how long did it take for you guys to run the ziphone -e command? its been about 10 and im still getting the "working" line , and on the phone the last line of text (among many others) im seeing:

"you need a file called secpack matching your curent firmware version in this folder. See http://iphonejtag.blogspot.com for instructions finding this file.
    Waiting for data"

and its been there for a few minutes now...normal?

Guys Ziphone option does not work. It hangs witht he message i posted above.
The only feasible solution i can see is to manually virginize it, and thats would mean manually placing and modifing the necessary files in the phone. Does anybody know how manually virgnize??

An addional note, after trying the Ziphone -e command, the phone was stuck at the screen i mentioned above. I rebooted the phone after a few minutes. Now the screen is displaying the same message over and over

    "BSD root:md0, major 2, minor 0"

if i reboot the phone, or put it in DFU or any other state, it goes back to the same text screen once i reboot it.

EDIT: Trying a restore to 1.1.3.

shiz i told you not to use the command line version what part of that dont you understand? Use the GUI app inside the folder and check the ierase BL 3.9 baseband box get it?!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Shiz, correct me if am wrong.. but first of all, if you try to use the *307*# on 1.1.2 and above firmwares, you need to make sure the AT&T sim inside. i experienced this issues with many phones, so if you forgot to plug it in.. try again..

second usually restoring to 1.1.3 corrects alot of issues in iphone, however in some cases, like BAD IMEI. it doesnt fix it.. so using ziphone is your best chance... i recommend you downgrade to 1.1.1 first.. (and make sure you go to 1.1.2 and 1.1.1) since sometimes it doesnt accept downgrading directly.
after that. try the 307 trick.. if it worked.. proceed from there again, if not.. try to use ziphone GUI 2.3 or 2.4 they are the best softwares now for unlocking and so easy too.

    good luck
