[1.1.1 OTB (1.1.3 now)] Can't access home screen, but can still make calls
I updated to 1.1.3 using Nate True's method (took all the necessary steps). My phone before the update was a 1.1.2 unlocked with anySIM 1.2.1u.
One time, I pushed the sleep/wake button on the phone to use it, but nothing happened. The phone had no reactions. So then, I decided to reboot the phone by holding the sleep/wake button and home button, and the iPhone rebooted to the un-activated screen with the Connect to iTunes logo.
The funny thing is, I slide for "slide for emergency," and I dial a real phone number. It works! And I can receive phone calls as well. I was able to use the iPhone strictly as a phone, and nothing else. Ringtones and caller ID worked, and I don't know why.
The phone was able to receive Wifi/EDGE signals, and still had the T-Mobile carrier signal.
I rebooted the phone a bunch of times, and the phone only goes to the Connect to iTunes screen with "Slide for emergency."
So far, I've decided to downgrade back to 1.1.2 (via 1.1.1 and OktoPrep), but what was the problem? Has anyone else had this problem before?
