[1.1.1] Baseband Problem - 3.9 BL
I need some help here because I'm stuck
I have a week 41 1.1.1 phone of a friend which he semi bricked with some program from the installer( it's unknown what he did exactly)
Here what i did so far I tried to restore to 1.0.2, 1.1.1, 1.1.2, 1.1.3 and 1.1.4
The only firmware that doesn't crap out on the baseband flash part is 1.1.1 (I think it doesn't get flashed at all in 1.1.1 because it's the same version)
So I decided to stick with 1.1.1 and jailbreak and activate it, Which worked out ok,
but then I installed BSD subsystem terminal unloaded the commcenter and ran ieraser and ienew. They did not erase the baseband it just stays on 04.01.13_G with a valid imei and wifi working.
So the baseband doesn't want the be erased (not even by ziphone) by any means so there's no way to upgrade or run anysim. I'm stuck with this one I'm not a noob with unlocking I unlocked more than 80 by software and over 25 by hardware and have never seen anything like this.

Seems there are something within system deamons something that does not allow to erase / reflash the baseband, do you get some errors via terminal, did you tried auto virginizer from www.iphone.unlock.no .... (repo:i.unlock.no), i should think you used DFU mode during your RESTORES ....

Hi thanks for responding.
I tried the virginizer from i.unlock.no
Did the restores with and without DFU and there's no difference the baseband simply doesn't get flashed by Itunes
There are not really errors when I run ieraser only instead of all the zeros showing up form the erase I only see a white cursor going down for infinite time (ran ieraser for more than 24 hours)
Before ieraser I unload the commcenter

Wery, wery strange .... did you try old fashioned way, back to 1.0.2 and iBricker?
and .PXL ... ?

Yes I did try but ibrickr gets in an infinite restart loop trying to jailbreak
Ziphone also goes into some infinite cycle when trying to erase to baseband it seems its trying to restart the erasing but when it doesn't work it restarts again etc
-
It almost seems like the baseband eeprom is in read only mode (I don't know if this is possible however)

What i sugesest is to drain battery dry, leave it dry for a day or two and try again (maybe this will sort by it self), there are other threads about similar situations, try to search ....
Did, by any chance, he used iTogle ?
-
I will try draining the battery and retry the whole thing.
And I have no clue of what the poor guy did to his phone because he doesn't even know what he installed on his phone brick it

-
Well I drained the battery and still nothing.
Ziphone gives: BSD root: md0, major 2, minor 0
The basband just doesn´t want to give in there's no way to erase it. It's kind of ironic I want to brick the baseband of this phone and it's just impossible.
