Default [1.1.1 to 1.1.3] ibricker overwrite of file

Now here is something to figure out to the keeners out there.

I did a upgrade from my 1.1.1 phone to 1.1.3 with Ziphone, but before I did I took copied my Mobile SMS files hoping to save my recent SMS messges. After I did the upgrade I went into Ibricker and cover over the two sound files (.tiff) and the SMS program (it was an accident I swear).

Now what happens is I cannot access my SMS message. I click on the icon and it goes to a black white notebook page and then goes back to my home page within 2 secs.

I have about 17 messages sent to me currently and cannot read them.
I figures I would just run Ziphone again and see if that would copy over any new files, but it didnt work

Any suggestions? I have missed a few messages already and would like to know who messaged me.

    Thanks in advance!

Why don't you try to backup your iPhone via eg. iPhonePCSuite (if you are on windows), than RESTORE again to 1.1.3 then do the jailbreak activate unlock stuff (with ZiPhone or whatever) and then backup your file on yours freshly unlocked iPhone, should work ..... or you can do it manually over WinSCP (if you know the loacation of the SMS database) .....

It doesnt look like running ZiPhone does anything to wipe the database or program off and re-install it. I do not know where the data base it... but I think its the program file more then the data base.

Anyone else out there got any ideas?

Actually i was sugesting that you backup your iPHONE via third party software, and then RESTORE to 1.1.3 in order to get a clean install, and then just use ZiPhone to jailbreak, activate, and unlock .... after that you can restore your backup and be able to access your SMS, simple as that .... and for the location of your SMS data base it is in :

    root \private\var\root\Library\SMS\

Other solution is to upload SMS.app from proper firmware in \Aplications folder (first of course make bakcup of exited SMS.app then delete it and upload new, untouched), restart your iPhone and maybe it should work .... but i vote for the first solution ....
