[1.1.1 (1.0.2 OTB)] Upgrade to 1.1.4 - safe to use ziphone? Don't want to brick again...

Am not really good at this upgrading stuff and have bricked an iphone before. Not that i have 1.1.1 on an 1.0.2 phone (using anysim) how do i upgrade to 1.1.4? Is it safe to just update firmware to 1.1.4 using itunes and then run ziphone? I've also read about iplus but am unsure if this is even applicable to my situation. I'm a little confused after reading several threads. Any help is appreciated.

    my firmware is: 04.01.13_G
    version: 1.1.1

Before upgrading to 1.1.1 you re-virginized your baseband correct?

If so just plug your iPhone in, start up iTunes, restore click restore and put 1.1.4 on your iPhone. Then wait for the iPhone to restart, and after it re-appears in iTunes, close iTunes and open up ZiPhone gui and click do it all, to activate, jailbreak and unlock your 1.1.4 phone.

This is assuming you have a 3.9 bootloader which I assume you do if your phone was 1.0.2 OTB.

    Hope this helped!
