Default [1.1.1 (1.0.2 OTB)] how do I prepare for Ziphone?

    Hi,
I've decided to adventure myself into updating to 1.1.3 using ziphone b/c its seems pretty simple.
But before hand I have some questions. The first thing asked to do by the ziphone guide is update via itunes to 1.1.3?!?! Isn't this just asking for it? I thought updating an unlocked phone would brick my phone? Correct me if I'm wrong.
I don't know what unlocked method was used on my phone since I bought it already in this state. All I know is that it is currently 1.1.1 and a week 37 phone (1.0.2 OTB).
I am guessing I should Virginize FIRST, then update to 1.1.3 and then run ZIphone. Is this correct or do I need not to virginize?
    Thanks for you advice.

If it is 1.1.1 unlocked now and it is working correctly, there is no need for virginize. You can update to 1.1.3 and run ziphone -a -j -u. Use command line because it is very safe.

If you installed many apps on your phone, the phone may behave strangely once it "updated" to 1.1.3. The best thing to do is:

    - sync your iphone to save your music, contact and etc...
    - put phone in recovery mode and do a restore to 1.1.3 - that will wipe everything on your phone so you will start from a "clean" phone.

Once that is done. you can use ziphone.

i think ill opt for sync/restore to 1.1.3. but im not clear wit the "command line". I thought I just need to check the 3 check boxes (a, j, u) and press OK. ?

So you can update to 1.1.3 using official Itunes update? Or just put software 1.1.3 on it from file using restore?

I went ahead and did just this today. Went from 1.1.1 - anysim unlocked (1.0.2 OTB) to 1.1.3 unlocked.

I downloaded the 1.1.3 restore file from http://iphone.unlock.no/ . At first, I couldn't do the restore in itune, kept getting an error at the end. So I thought maybe it's because I was running itune 7.4. So I updated itune to 7.6 and after that, it restored to 1.1.3 ok.

Then just ran Ziphone GUI (2.4) and Pressed "Do it all" and just watched it do it's magic. It worked out great.
