[1.0.2] Want to Upgrade to 1.1.4. Problems

Hi ive searched but its a couple of different pieces put together thats confusing me a little bit. I have an unlocked 1.0.2 that I unlocked the oldschool way using apptap ibrikr. I have been very happy, no problems(knock on wood) but I want to upgrade to 1.1.4 to prepare for the 2.0 upgrade that will surely come out in the future. My first problem is installer crashes upon opening. I have read that the latest version didnt work with 1.0.2. So virginizing the easy way doesnt work. Any help in the form of links would be great. I never deleted the old programs I used to unlock it with before does one of them reload the old version of installer? After virginizing what is the best gameplan to updating and unlocking. Thanks

You do not need to upgrade to 1.1.4 to prepare for 2.0.

You believe ill be able to go to 2.0 straight from my oldschool 1.0.2 unlocked phone?

There are reports of people going straight from 1.0.2 unlocked to 1.1.4 without virginizing, however that the minotirty, most of the people have problem, so my advice to you is do a search on virginizing 1.0.2 and then from there you can go wherever you want 1.1.4 or 2.0 but virginize first

do i need to virginize if i used the unlock.pxl method?

oh man i tried to use old school apptap to install installer and it made my phone go to yellow flag connect to itunes almost shit my pants. But i tried it again it brought it back to normal. THen back to the yellow flag connect to itunes. So i started over when it was back on normal screeen pulled the cord and it works fine.

well i used lord of flies method to get installer and that worked but man that was scary i thought it was stuck in recovery mode it wasnt booting ramdisk after 10 minutes i saw jump out of recovery mode and luckily it had installed installer for me when i did that. Should I go along with the rest of the plan is it full proof? Im terrified of bricking my iphone.
