[1.0.2](upgrade to 1.1.2) - Tutorial/help?
Hey all,
I had a 1.1.1 OTB iphone which I successfully downgraded to 1.0.2 (baseband 03.14.08_G), and fully unlocked.
I now want to upgrade the fw to version 1.1.2.
My question is do I have to go through the whole virginizing process upgrade to 1.1.1 and then do so again to upgrade to 1.1.2, or is there some shortcut by issuing commands in say Putty or something? I remember somebody posting something about this a while back, but I can't seem to find the thread.
Thanks for your help

It all depends on how you unlocked the phone.
If you unlocked with AnySIM1.1 or IPSF you don't need to do anything else than Update with iTunes
If you unlocked with AnySIM1.02 you need to revirginize the phone. To do that, follow this guide (I think it's the easiest): http://iphone.unlock.no/#how-to-virginize-easily

http://iphone.unlock.no/#how-to-virginize-easily I've got the same iPhone specs as the OP (1.0.2, 03.14.08_G, jailbraked, unlocked, lots of added apps), it's also been unlocked with AnySim1.1.
So if I upgrade through iTunes to 1.1.2 it won't brick my machine or lock it again? Will it just delete all the extra apps I added?
Also I was wondering if it's just better to wait for 1.1.3 which is just around the corner. Is upgrading from 1.0.2 risky at all? I just got my iPhone yesterday, I don't want to accidentally brick it.
