But could my problem be the fact that my deactivated iphone don't have a simcard that's not unlocked and valid...

it says on the ActivateIphone page

"incorrect sim, insert an unlocked and valid simcard to activate iphone"
I never had any apple-carrier-contract simcard btw.
Thats what iTunes and even an activated but not unlocked iPhone is supposed to say.
iLiberty or the other trick are - in your case for now - only supposed to jailbreak and activate the iPhone, thats it. We then want to virginize. As soon as you unlock at the end of all the way you have to go this message will be gone.

Now I ran the activate/jailbreak from iliberty, and it got stuck. The phone is showing the itunes logo and the dock cable.

Leaving the iPhone in for a while, does it kick the iPhone out of this mode (called recovery mode)?

Default Please check first and report back

Check your post 14 and my post 16 when you were at firmware 1.1.4.
Did you do step 1-10 at firmware 1.1.4, meaning did you downgrade the baseband as I mentioned? If not, thats probably the reason all this aint work.

Its ok to xxx the IMEI. All seems to be ok exept the fact that we dont get Installer on your iphone (and jailbreak/activate it before). Baseband matches 1.1.1. The problem is that the virginize script only works at firmware 1.0.x or 1.1.1 (with bootloader 3.9). You meet all the requirements.

i really want to find out, whats going on...

    1. In that statusline on the bottom of iNdependence (when at 1.1.1) it says "Connected to iPhone....." Would you please report all values that are displayed there?

    2. Next question. That 1.1.1-jailbreak: You told me that it wont work, stopping at the first step. So when you are at firmware 1.1.1 directly after a restore, you use "slide to emergency" to get to the keypad. On the keypad you type *#307* and hit the "call" button. Does it stop there? Or do you hear the iPhone calling itself?

    Answer to question 2:

It says that since I have an invalid simcard operation is not allowed... So when I insert digits and press call, basically nothing happens, except for the error message.

    I'll check the other question
