[1.0.2] restore aborts/crashes after 1.5 circles
I am at the end of wits. I have a 1.0.2 iPhone that one sunny day went into permanent Applelogo loop rebooting constantly, just showing the Apple logo.
After trying numerous restore attempts I finally got it out of the permanent Apple logo reboot loop but I cannot restore it fully.
during restore from dfu or triangle mode with 1.0.2 the phone hangs/crashes during restore after 1.5 circles (rotating circle symbol stops). After Itunes detects that phone doesnt respond it throws a 1603 error. But I have also seen 1611 and 2003 errors
If I try to restore from dfu or triangle mode with 1.1.1 then the phone hangs/crashes during restore after 1.5 circles (rotating circle symbol stop) plus the screen goes into a nice paisley pattern.
The circle during restore stops rotating every time ALWAYS at the same position.
BTW: ibrickr 091 shows green screen after boot advising to restore.
I brought the phone to Apple with yellow triangle but they have correctly diagnosed that the phone has been unlocked - and refuse any service unless the phones is registered with ATT.
So I am stuck.
Anyone any idea how to proceed ?
I suspect that the phone is hung between different restore updates. Can I use iPhuc to diagnose the problem - or is there any other diagnose software out there ?
Thanks a lot.
I had simillar problem 2 days ago
had iPhone 1.0.2 OTB jailbreaked and unlocked with anySim (version. before 1.1 not sure which one). My first step was virgionizing and it works fine but as I tried to update to 1.1.1 got 1611 error and sometimes 2003. What I did:
- disconnected all usb devices
- conected iphone via usb cable _without_ docking station and tried different usb ports
- restarted some times my pc
- iTunes v 7.5
I tried about 25 times sometimes restarted pc, sometime restarted only iTunes
sometimes pushing 15s home/power button and sometimes using iBrickr 091 to get iPhone to this special DFU mode by chosing "downgrade to 1.0.2" option
I tried to restore to different versions 1.1.2/1.1.1/1.0.2 at the end I got it restored to 1.1.1
i also was stuck in restore mode - itunes just wouldn't complete the restoring process. After several attempts with different firmware, i used the original usb-cabel and disconnected all other usb devices.
then i worked smoothly....
