Hi all

Am one for the early adaptors for this phone
Got a 1.0.2 OOB, unlocked with anySIM

using for a few months alright.. can call, wifi, sms, youtube etc..
but recently got some problem with the phone, so i did a firmware restore of the 1.0.2


i reverted to the old method of unlocking,
using iBrickr to jailbreak, and PACAY to activate, AnySim.
But i can bypass activation, but cannot make calls.

For a few Questions:
1. I forgot the steps. Can anybody please enlighten me on how the steps should be chronologically done.

2. Does the version of AnySIM matters? Can they unlock my 1.0.2 version? My modem version is 03.14.08_G
which version of anySIM can help?
Where can i get the version to install using iBrickr?

3. i dont have the intention of using 1.1.2 f upgrading to the newer version because of all the very messy and long long long long long long threads i have to see, and technically i dont have the capability to perform the steps.

i dont have a single clue on 99% of what most of the threads are talking about, they are filled with short forms, and jargons shortcuts that i absolutely am very lost when itry to understand it..

why don't you update to 1.1.2?? u frm sg?

when you did the restore the phone would have still been unlocked as the modem firmware would not have been overwriten. When you use anysim the second time on a already unlocked baseband you have corrupted the baseband. To fix your phone you will most likelly need to use a virginizing method then unlock again. After virginizing the baseband you can choose which firmware to update to then use the appropriate anysim version to unlock. Anysim 1.1 for 1.0.2 and 1.1.1 and anysim 1.2u for 1.1.2 firmware. Check your imie numbers to see if you have the 0049 error, and do a search in the fourms for virginizing the baseband there are a few guides.

It certainly sounds like it needs virginizing...

I used iphone.unlock.no for my virginizing of my 1.0.2 and then upgrading to 1.1.1.

It's a very well documented website - and nothing too tricky either - even I could do it and that's saying something!

i got the phone working again, still under 1.0.2
surprising it still can call you tube wifi, for some weird reason

but i have encountered another problem with iBrickr
idont seem to be able to install any apps to the phone, by manual upload PXL or using iBrickr to install
the error report says "cannot enable SSL"

can't search for the problem in the forum, SSL is too short a term..
any one knows the remedy to it?

i finally found out what is AppTapp.. (am i dumb....)

i tried to install, i can install stuff on he iphone already, even thought SSL is STILL NOT enabled

somehow i still miss the PXLs from ibrickr.. any inputs how to solve the problem?
