This is what I did to get out of the 0049 IMEI (the iPhone was 1.0.2) By the way a good starting point would be to restore the 1.1.2 ver and then try the following steps (I fix my like this)

1.- Downgrade to version 1.0.2
2.- Use package Downgrade_1.1.2_complete (http://www.4$hared.com/file/29599306/4db767ff/Downgrade_112_Complete.html)
3.- Activate/Jailbreak iPhone in version 1.0.2
4.- Install SSH
5.- Copy "Baseband" folder to /usr/bin in iPhone
6.- Connect via ssh to iPhone
7.- Run the following commands
launchctl unload /System/Library/LaunchDaemons/com.apple.CommCenter.plist
cd /usr/bin
chmod +x ieraser
chmod +x bbupdater
ieraser
bbupdater -v
bbupdater -f *.fls -e *.eep
(After a 2-3 minute wait it should be done. Now type
bbupdater -v
(It should show 3.14_08... NOTE: the IMEI may still be wrong)
launchctl load -w /System/Library/LaunchDaemons/com.apple.CommCenter.plist
8.- Restore version1.0.2 again (to clean up)
9.- Activate/Jailbreak iPhone in version 1.0.2
10.- Install SSH
11.- Download Virginizer_Pack (http://code.g__gle.com/p/iphone-elit...irginizingTool)
12.- Connect via ssh to iPhone
13.- Copy Virginizer_Pack folder to /usr/bin in iPhone
14.- Backup seczone (SLOW):
0. cd /usr/bin/virginizer_pack
launchctl unload /System/Library/LaunchDaemons/com.apple.CommCenter.plist
chmod +x ./norz
./norz seczone.backup 0x3FA000 0x2000
15.- Execute Virginizer procedure:
0. chmod +x ./iUnlock
./iUnlock ./ICE03.14.08_G.fls ./eliteloader.bin
0. chmod +x ./bbupdater
0. ./bbupdater -v
16.- Now reflash BB FirmWare
./bbupdater -f ./ICE03.14.08_G.fls -e ./ICE03.14.08_G.eep
17.- Recheck el BB
./bbupdater -v
18.- Restart CommCenter
launchctl load -w /System/Library/LaunchDaemons/com.apple.CommCenter.plist
19.- Restart iPhone.

Now, You should have your phone jailbroken and activated in 1.0.2, if you wish you can upgrade it or jus use AnySIM and unlocked it in 1.0.2 ver

The problem is the iphone wont connect to iBrick. I'm stuck in this step. Its already restored with 1.0.2 need a miracle with this

I think your friend has just burn the baseband off, it happen to me as well when I plug it into my Alpine Car stereo iPod connector.

I have ever read it somewhere in this forum that the iPhone is not very much compatible with iPod Jukeboxes or accessories.

Let me share what I did with my... I keep on upgrading..downgrading the firmware then next thing I knew... the iPhone just kaput and not being able to power-on at all. Send it to my cousin in NYC, send it to Apple store (Sixth Avenue), Apple staff say "NO" replacement without a AT&T contract... Three Days later, I ask my cousin to go again, but this time, "Bang the Table, Scream at Them, Be A bitch"...and "wala" I got a new iPhone replaced.

Have you try to the iPhone in restore mode... first open iTunes, then Press the power/sleep button and the home button eventually (around 10 secs) the screen will go black, let go power/sleep button and keep holding the home button plug the phone and wait for iTunes to tell you that it have found an iPhone and it's in recovery mode (or something like that) ... Then in iTunes recover the phone w/ ver 1.1.2 (that gave me back my IMEI, a wrong one but a least i got WiFi back)
