I bought a 1.0.2 OTB iPhone and unlocked it successfully.
This week i decided to take the plunge and upgrade to 1.1.2.
So i ran the virginizer through installer.app using source i.unlock.no and i forgot to set the auto-lock to never so the phone went off halfway through the process. The phone would not turn back on so i forced it into DFU mode and did a restore to 1.1.1. Everything seemed fine except of course my phone is no longer activated or unlocked. Jailbreak went well, i tried to unlock using anySIM but it didn't work. So I just installed oktoprep and updated to 1.1.2. Again jailbreak was fine, but anySIM didn't work; it started copying the firmware and then just suddenly restarted my iPhone. It wouldn't boot up.
I figured that this happened because the virginizer didn't get to finish ....
So ... I searched the forum and found something about the IMEI, so i restored the iphone back to 1.1.1 and performed jailbreak and checked the IMEI; it was set to 0049### which as I understand it is bad.....
I read a few posts that said to fix this, I have to restore to 1.1.1 and then run the virginizer. So i did this and now the IMEI is no longer 0049#### which I thought was great. After the virginizer, I had to restore 1.1.1 jailbreak, install BSD and openSSH, then login and copy anySIM.app into the Applications folder and adjust the permissions. I then restarted the phone and ran anySIM and after it copied the firmware it said that anySIM cannot unlock the phone.
My iPhone is currently on 1.1.1 with baseband 04.02.13_G and the IMEI is NOT 0049####
please please help .... i've searched this forum and cannot for the life of me figure out what i need to do. Thanks for the help!
