I've personally did an update from 1.0.2 to 2.0 directly without revirginize and it seems to be ok. I don't recommend it though.

If the phone used anySIM 1.1 to unlock then you are ok. No problem. It's anySIM 1.0.x that we need to revirgin

Nice going from 1.xx to 2.0 i had to reload firmware 1.0.2 then Virginize then iliberty to jailbreak, Activate, Unlock.

if your iphones are up and running with out BUGS just leave it alone...good work.

    @jock3,
This guide will work for you if the installer is working.

Unfortunately, your installer is not working because you probably updated it. Let's see if we can rectify that problem.
There are several ways to do this, let's see if you can try this one first.

    - If you still have the phone pretty much the way it is since you first worked on it, you can use ibrickr to remove the installer on the phone. when done, you can put back the original installer that you used before. Can you do that?. As long as you get installer to run, you can follow the guide beginning at the 'Virginizing steps".

Iam waiting to see if he was able to uninstall the installer and reinstall the installer....

remember when you install the installer don't upgrade when it ask you too...

after the installer in back to new again ...turn off and then back on your iphone and then refer back to dtubes Step by Step Guide.

make sure you have a Wi-fi access...

I cant find a way to remove the installer,
i start iBrickr and hit applications, and looks at the fake iphone, a can find the installer.

when i go back, and the hit files, and the applications/ (on fake iphone) then i find the installer.app/
but i cant find how to remove it, just upload files or create a new folder.

what happens if you have the older version of installer and upload it over the installer.app/ ?
or just install the older version without removing the installer ?

but i have a problem whit iBrickr, i cant add applications anymore. it crashes.

Well. I forgot how ibrickr works so I can't elaborate more on it.
    Let's try this:
    - download iLiberty+ for windows.
    - connect your phone to computer
    - run iLiberty+
    - put check box in jailbreak and installer.
    - don't put check box anywhere else.
    - click go for it.

Note: the Installer application has to be downloaded to your local repo first. It's under available on repo. once you download it, it will show up under local repo.

that didnt work out great, i did as you said, and also looked at "http://www.iclarified.com/entry/index.php?enid=849"

i checked the box for jailbreak, and installer and pressed go. then it asked to disconnect and reconnect, so i did, and then pressed ok.

it took some minutes and then it tried to restart on its own, but it says:

    BSD root: md0, major 2, minor 0

    over and over.

any ide about what went wrong ?

Sorry, that did not work out too good - that what I was afraid of. Do you still have apptapp, pacay, ibrickr with you.
What you can do now is put phone in restore mode and restore it back to 1.0.2 firmware.
When done, you can use apptapp, pacay to jailbreak/activate the phone. When done, you can use ibrickr to put the installer back on like you did before. Let me know if you have difficulty doing any those above . Don't worry, we'll take care of the phone for you

i tried to restore it too 1.0.2 and it seems to work fine. but not when the phone restarted.

i connected to itunes in recovery mode and restored to 1.0.2 , itunes did the work and when it was done it said, wait a few secound and then it will show up in itunes. and wile i waited my phone restarted and the same thing happand again, the display shows:

"BSD root: md0, major 2, minor 0" over and over..

and the phone didnt connect to itunes. it disconnected from the computer.

the only way it connects is in recovery mode.
