I purchased an iPhone two days ago from a person came from China. Phone was working OK with non AT&T sim card but there is no content in iPod . I went to apple site and after downloading latest iTune version there was an update botton and I clicked and It took a few hours tile about 300MB data downloaded into my computer and iPhone. After finishing and rebooting iPhone says "incorrect sim, insert an unlocked and valid sim to activate the iphone". I only can make emergency calls. Firmware now is 04.01.13_G and ver is 1.1.1. I didn't checked original firmware but it should be ver 1.0.2(1C28) and firmware 03.14.08_G as another friend purchsed the second one. I followed instruction from iPhone-dev.com and visited jailbreakme.com to unlock the iPhone using WiFi but after visiting jailbreakme.com and reading information when I click on "install AppsTapp" it returns to activate screen and nothing happens even after reboot. I hear this jailbreakme.com 100% works but I am surprised why is not working for me. One resaon could be the iPhone was originally unlocked because it was working with non AT&T SIM. Now the proble is how should I fix it?

Anyone please. This is a matter of life and death. I have paid a lot for this Phone and if I didn't get it fixed my wife will kill me.

you bricked your iphone.. search for a guide in this forum in order to recover from this.... is a lengthly and dangerous process
